The global classroom
The rehearsal is completed, the one-hour lesson is almost ready, and I hope many of you will join when I conduct my first online class. As we prepared for this, it was interesting to see how much we are trying to emphasize the almost “face to face” contact of the traditional classroom. For example, I want questions from the participants to come during the course of the presentation, not the end. Just like you would raise your hand in a traditional class, I want you to message me the questions after a given point during the presentation.
For someone who, likes me, cherishes the personal interaction in the classroom, this will be a totally and challenging experience, but we give it a try.
As for what I cover?
There is something for everyone. Many students are part of the audience, so i want to make sure that this covers my basic visual journalism principles, while showing plenty of good examples and case studies, and then showing you what I consider to be my most favorite print product out there today. IT’s a surprise, so tune in to find out.
Each segment is followed by a Trends and Tips section.
And, yes, this is about design across the platforms, from print to digital.
