TAKEAWAY: Nothing beats Paris any time of the year; but a Saturday snowy morning run thru the Jardin de Tuileries is the equivalent of several sessions at a therapist.
A run thru Jardin de Tuileries this Saturday morning in Paris
I have always thought that life’s most gratifying pleasures can be simple, easily accessible and available to most.
For me, a run in the snow is always special. True, I was born a tropical creature in Cuba, and I live in mostly sunny Florida (although my city, Tampa, has sleet and ice today! Go figure), but I cherish an early morning run in the snow, just before it has been trampled on. You take a look at the ground and it is pure white as far as the eye can see.
That was my unique experience today here in Paris. I have come here to review the newly changed format of the financial daily, La Tribune, which reversed back to tabloid format last week.
The peaceful weekend is also a good setting for me to do some work on what will be a year-long project of a highly personal nature.
In 2010 I celebrate 40 years in this business, so I am compiling memory notes to provide some insights into this amazing journey I have followed and the lessons I have learned from it.
My plan is to start the series, 40 Years 40 Lessons, just about when we introduce the newly rethought Garcia Media website.
