Here is Saudi Arabia’s new travel, lifestyle magazine!

Take a look at List, which just premiered its first issues in Arabic and English and is also available online.

Travel and lifestyle magazines are always popular. In the post-Covid 19 era, the content of such magazines resonates with readers who are finally starting to get out of the house again: traveling to exotic locations, eating at old and new restaurants, and discovering that the world is still there to welcome them.

We at Garcia Media had a call to help with the creation of a new publication for Saudi Arabia, a country where expansion is the theme of the moment, with 15 new megaprojects announced for development, among them:

Saudi Arabia’s NEOM is set to open Sindalah, an island northeast of the country, in 2024, the kingdom’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced. Covering an area of approximately 840,000 square metres, Sindalah is a group of islands in the Red Sea that will be developed in the giga-project.

In addition, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman formally announced recently the creation of a new national airline, Riyadh Air, which will serve more than 100 destinations around the world by 2030, making use of the kingdom’s location between Asia, Africa and Europe

So, it is no surprise that a high end magazine with emphasis on Saudi Arabia and regional travel, plus lifestyle content, would become a necessity. The magazine, published in print, with an online edition, appears in both Arabic and English.

The first edition of List has just been published.

The process

From the start it was decided by the project team, headed by Fadi Mroue, creative director for the Saudi Media Research Group, publishers of List,, that there would be both Arabic and English versions, sharing a similar design concept.

What are the centerpieces of the design?

-Cover should be inviting and include people.

-a good content rhythm, with proper balance between long, medium and short (finger reading) pieces.

emphasis on large photos, especially for the print editions.



destination single and double pages that invite the reader to visit one topic quickly.

-Highlight content that is “shareable”,
