The Mario Blog

Until the dust settles…..

These are uncertain and turbulent times for sure. TheMarioBlog will adapt accordingly.

This is the weekend edition of TheMarioBlog and will be updated as needed.

I don’t have to remind you, no matter where you live in the world, that these are very unsettling times with the Coronavirus forcing us to take precautions, avoid handshakes, stock up on food and essentials, and making us realize that life, as we knew it, is temporarily on hold—and nobody knows for how long.

With my own consulting commitments cancelled globally, and with my Columbia University class now taught online only, I will be spending time in Tampa, Florida, with my family and doing work virtually from there.

I will be transitioning in the days ahead, so I will probably NOT publish a daily blog, but will continue to update it as the opportunity presents itself.

You see, TheMarioBlog is totally spontaneous and organic—and a lot of what I write about here is based on my daily experiences as I conduct seminars, workshops and consultations with clients globally. As I will be stationed in one place, I will not be having the experiences that make this blog richer and more meaningful to you, but it does not mean I will not do an occasional post, so come and check us out.

Thanks for your understanding. Stay safe. Wash your hands, and remember the importance of social distancing.

Best wishes!

How life is on hold in the US

This item from the CNN daily briefing summarizes the extent to which the Coronavirus has affected how we live:

Coronavirus
Life in some parts of the US has come to an utter standstill so the country can reduce the impact of the coronavirus. Disney World and Disneyland are closed. The March Madness tournament that was going to be played without fans? It’s canceled now. Major League Baseball has wiped out the rest of spring training and postponed its season. Some cities have banned large gatherings. Millions of students are out of school. Adding to these major disruptions, continued issues with the availability of coronavirus test kits have left medical professionals and patients confused and concerned. As the virus continues to spread, a slow trickle of public figures are announcing their diagnoses or close contact with the disease. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s wife has tested positive, and Sen. Lindsey Graham is the latest US legislator to self-quarantine after exposure to it. Do you have a question or a story about the outbreak? Share it with us here.
