Call it what you may, it was a very super Super Tuesday in the US as many voters took to the precincts to cast their ballots in the Democratic. primaries. At the end, the race for the Democrat who will represent the party and face President Trump in the November elections narrowed down to two main presidential contenders: Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders.
The men represent opposite ends of the Democratic Party: Sanders the liberal progressive wing, a self declared “democratic socialist”. and Biden a moderate centrist, with great appeal to older voters and African Americans.
The race has just begun and it will be a long, drawn out fight all the way to the Democratic Convention in the summer.
Here is how some of the front pages of US newspapers described the happenings of Super Tuesday. Enjoy!
