There is something for everyone in this robust weekend edition of the Sydney Morning Herald. It also included a four-page wrap around ad which became the newspaper's front page, that is, until you turn that page to find the real front page directly under it.
For me, this is a real treat, as I am used to seeing print editions of newspapers that border on the skinny side of the press run. Many newspapers also carry those flimsy four-page sections that look and feel anemic. No section should be 4 pages. Eight pages should be a minimum, but, of course, I am aware that advertisers sometimes demand, and they get what they ask for.
Nowadays, it is the weekend editions that always offer more bulk, one of the reasons that I maintain that it will be weekend editions that will eventually survive as the print product.
