I was quite surprised to get this new New York Times newsletter in my inbox Sept. 10.
It’s titled On Politics, and it promises to inform me about the day in US politics. I already receive quite a number of briefings, but I will not refuse this one.
On Politics will publish every morning and every evening.
Politics in the Trump era is hot information.
In the introductory issue, editor Lisa Lerer, informs us, among other things, that
At On Politics, we believe that politics is much more than the White House and the horse race. It’s culture and sports. It’s across the globe and in your backyard. It’s devouring your Facebook feed.
What if we could send a letter to our readers that would be a guiding hand through the chaos? That would introduce them to the people reshaping our politics. And that would engage voters across the country in a respectful conversation.
