My Columbia students create newsletters!

For their Midterm Project, the assignment involved conceptualizing a newsletter. Take a look.

Today I continue to showcase the work of my Columbia University students. For their Midterm Project, I assigned them the creation of a newsletter. It could be a new newsletter for an outlet that could use one, or a revamp/redesign of an existing one.

The projects shown here are with the approval of the student authors. The class I teach is a graduate course titled Multiplatform Design & Storytelling. There are 14 students in the class and they had the option of working alone or in teams of two, with most deciding to do the latter.

The assignment required reference to the type and color palettes used.

Newsletter: Thanks, We Hate It.

By Hannah Flynn and Fernanda Martinez

I will continue to add more of the students’ newsletters are they complete corrections suggested during their presentation.
