Great page output from Mexico’s a.m.

This is one of my favorite pages of the ones produced by the team, led by design director Ana Laura Romero, for a.m.

Two weeks after launching its new look, Mexico’s a.m. continues to make great progress in the evolution of its design. Today, design director Ana Laura Romero sends us a series of pages to show how things are going, which I share with you.

Remember, our goal for Page One is to have a strong visual lead, in addition to the journalistic lead of the day. The various pages shown here show these dynamics, and Laura admits that it is a challenge to finding the right visual daily, but, as she writes:

Mind you, this is the second newspaper building to which I feel a certain attachment that will no longer house a title to which I have even greater attachment. Remember the news that The Miami Herald will move from its bay front landmark building to another building in the city?

The good news is that all of these newspapers continue to publish. Never mind the change of location.

I am glad that I had a chance to visit the Inquirer building in the recent past. It was as welcoming, grand and impressive as I remembered when we did the memorable redesign of the Inquirer in 1986.

In 2010, we went in there with
