Seen while traveling through Madrid’s Barajas Airport this week: as I sat in the Lounge waiting for my flight to Munich, an Air Europe aircraft arrived at the gate right below where I was seated.
What a surprise to see the logo of Spain’s newspaper, El Mundo, large across the fuselage.
I admit that I had never seen a newspaper brand advertised on an aircraft like that, and I wonder how effective this campaign has been for El Mundo. It is definitely large visibility for the brand with the opportunity to probably have it “travel” with that aircraft around several Spanish cities each day.
Will be curious to find out more. Someone once told me that any marketing effort is better than no effort at all. This is as high flying as a marketing campaign can get!
This is the front page of this week’s Die Zeit.
