Hello, folks, and greetings from scenic and always enjoyable Longboat Key, Florida, where, for more than three decades I have come to spend a few days with my entire family—-yes,  my children and grandchildren, all 20 of us.

It is a fun time of the year for us to recharge our batteries, enjoy sunset happy hours, and simply relax never too far from the beautiful and warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico.

From there, I will then head out for my second summer vacation, in the Canary Islands, in beautiful Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

I plan to return to the blog the week of July 23!

That is, unless something of tremendous interest happens that will lure me away from the sea and sand to write a blog post.
