Front page ad that comes clean

TAKEAWAY: The Hindustantimes presents us with a front page ad that is out of the ordinary. We hope it paid well!

We are always on the lookout for advertising placement that stands out.

In that spirit, we bring you this “look at that front page ad” segment for your enjoyment today.

Well, this front page from India’s Hindustantimes shows us a different way to get an ad up on page one. The ad, for a gel bath soap, seems to sort of bubble up on the page. Sorry, it does not come with scratch and sniff features for those interested in knowing about the smell of the soap’s fragrance.

What is interesting is the “headlines” and promos that the ad allows us to peek into behind it.

I predict that we will see more of this type of Page One advertising in the months ahead.
