I have just discovered the latest offering from the smart and fun editors of Monocle.
It is The Forecast, and it uses the same format, design and typographic palette that we are used to with MONOCLE, without all the yellow.
The edition I have found at the Lufthansa lounge is all about How to be Happy in 2019, and, as we often find with MONOCLE, it is full of short snippets, well illustrated stories and in depth pieces, with emphasis on lifestyle, people and places.
In the Editor’s note there is one essential tip: Turn your phone off before you start reading about happiness.
Best article: Happiness in Finland, and how the Finns cultivate and encourage the art of happiness “starting in the womb”, but are quick NOT to boast about happiness even when they feel it.
Another exciting product from the MONOCLE editorial team. I recommend it.

…and how the newspapers covered the story. The Sun takes the trophy for the most colorful and satiric coverage of the event.
