A new print magazine was launched last week. It combines the experienced magazine publisher, Hearst, and the popular destination lodging rental Airbnb.
The first issue of airbnbmag was launched last week, and it seems that Hearst and Airbnb are ready to do the salsa, as per the cover of that first edition. The digital edition won’t be available until two weeks after the print edition.
The premiere issue has 45 pages of advertising . The magazine will be a quarterly, with the next issue coming in September.
The new title is launching with a rate base, or guaranteed circulation of 350,000, and a cover price of $3.99.
In introducing the new magazine, Hearst’s chief content officer, Joanna Coles, said:
“It’s not a travel magazine … It’s a magazine about people, about experiences. It’s also going to be about the community. It’s going to be about Trips … It’s about how do you take small moments of spare time that you get and use it to transform your life.”
