We always emphasize the importance of e-newsletters that promote content and alert users to the top stories of the day.
The best briefings and/or e-newsletters are those that are focused, invite the user visually and get us to develop a habit of looking at them daily.
One favorite such e-newsletter is that of CNN Five Things. The name of it already gets you into a focused journey to find out the top topics of the day. The rest of it is easy to follow, interesting and always includes a surprise content item of the day. This one has become part of my daily news ritual.
