Little stories that provide big inspiration!

Here is one of those from The New York Times.

Thanks to my Columbia student, Chaveli Guzman, for bringing this story to my attention.

It tells me that at the Midterm point in the semester of this Multiplatform Design & Storytelling course, the students are now aware of the type of storytelling that makes a difference, especially for mobile consumption.

This story has it all:


  • A timely topic—for those who care about protecting the environment!
  • Great visuals to accompany the text.
  • Good lineal storytelling, with text an d visuals providing for East, fun reading.
  • A bit of animation (don’t you love those plastic bats occasionally flying up and down the screen?)
