The banners of an impeachment inquiry

A historic day in the United States.
This afternoon, Sept. 23, 2019, the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, announced the start of a formal impeachment inquiry of President Trump.

I immediately turned to the websites, and was surprised to see that many pulled their “special news” template, especially the New York Times, with a full screen horizontal headline.

Other websites and how they are covering this story, only the third time that a United States president is impeached. The others were: Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton  although neither was removed from office. A third president, Richard Nixon, resigned amid an impeachment inquiry in 1974. He is the only president to have resigned.

The Wall Street Journal also utilized a banner for this story.

Here are other websites. I will be collecting examples in the next few hours and posting them here. If your website has done something of interest with the news, please send it to me at mario@garciamedia.com
