The Nieman Lab does it every year: a ritual to post the top image from Mary Meeker’s State of the Internet analysis.
For those who may not know Ms. Meeker, just take a look at the New York Times headline referring to her as Queen of the Internet.

I am interested in these three comparative figures between 2010 and now that remind us that mobile first is not a state of mind to be followed by smart editors in the newsrooms. The numbers show that it is what is happening and where our audiences are going daily to get news and information.
The Nieman Lab report writer ends with the following:
“Mobile continues its rocket rise, and there’s still lots of room for ad revenue growth. And now it’s even eating away at the Great American Time Suck, television. Mobile is eating the world, and most news organizations make only a pittance off it.”
