Made in mobile storytelling heaven!

The New York Times does it again. It offers you a textbook example of how to do (very) visual storytelling well. Take a look.

Here is the story, judge for yourself:

Everything seems to work here, not the least of which is the richness of the black and white color palette. The subject is dark, so are many of the characters on what could soon be a Netflix 10-episode series: The Mueller Investigation. There is mystery. There is political intrigue. Shady characters, and, who knows, maybe an element of sex beyond porn actress Stormy Daniels.

The Mueller Investigation is full of surprises, and perhaps the much awaited report is out by the time you read this, but I don’t think so.

This story is not just a great example of visual storytelling made for mobile, but it also offers us great examples of dramatic photo cropping.

Bravo to the Times team for contributing another textbook example of how to do it right and visual.
