Here are three front pages of printed editions that truly stand out for the visuals. All these pages pass the coffee table test: in other words, they are ready to be picked up and looked at.
This sports front from The Washington Post is a great example (which I will show my Columbia class when we cover color) about how powerful yellow can be.
Just the perfect illustration to tell the story!
Hat off to those student journalists at Loyola University (Chicago) who, in spite of mind and body numbing subzero temperatures were able to come up with this hot headline
to tell the state of the weather on this day. Clever.
The New European hits the nail on the head with this illustration and headline. A bit crude in its presentation, but, what the heck, the idea is transmitted quickly (and in a funny way that everyone can understand!).
As you may have read, I have been cast to play the role of Jorge Alberto Gutierrez in the new American sitcom, The Finellis, filmed in Berlin. I have completed filming of my scenes for three episodes of Season One. Love my role of the Cuban American living in Germany and married to a transgender entertainer.
The journalist from Tagesspiegel was present at one day of filming and here is her story (in German). I appear here next to Mark Janicello, the star and creator of The Finellis. Having a lot of fun with this role and honored to be part of the cast.
Will let you readers of TheMarioBlog know when the series airs and where.
